Vincent Berrutto is Head of Unit at the Intelligent Energy Executive Agency (IEEA), a newly set up organisation managing the Intelligent Energy Europe programme under powers delegated by the European Commission. Vincent Berrutto is heading a team of 14 staff members responsible for supporting more than 150 European projects for the promotion of energy efficiency in the building, industry and transport sectors. V. Berrutto is a civil engineer with a PhD in building sciences. Before joining the IEEA, he was energy efficiency expert at the Joint Research Centre and later at the Directorate General for Transport and Energy (DGTREN).
