Short CV:
Markus Kurdziel graduated from the Universities in Munich, Bonn and Washington D.C. with a master’s degree in Political Science in 1991. After eleven years with the German Bundestag, concerned with energy and climate policies, he joined the German Energy Agency (dena) in Berlin in the summer of 2002 as head of department Renewable Energies.
His tasks were development and implementation of strategies and measures for broader dissemination of renewable energies, consulting and supporting the Federal Ministries for the Environment and Economics in implementing national and EU law in the field of renewable energies and energy efficiency, as well as representative and speaker for the Federal Ministries at national and international events like conferences and fairs in Europe, Asia and the US.
In 2006 he joined the “Planning and Development” department of GTZ in Eschborn specializing in Energy projects with Emergent- and Developing Countries like China, India and South Africa.
