Short CV:
Mr. Silvonen works currently in Motiva Oy with responsibilities including promotion of energy efficiency and use of renewable energy sources in the public sector. His earlier working history in Motiva includes the leadership of the organisation in 1993-2000. In 2000-2003 he worked as Head of Energy Unit in the Council of the Baltic Sea States in Stockholm, closely involved in the regional energy issues of common interest to the participating governments.
Since his graduation from the Helsinki University of Technology in 1970 his career as a professional engineer includes a number of other domestic and international duties in government organisations and private companies in the fields of production and end-use of energy.
